A space to share some of my personal projects in statistics and data science
PERSONAL DETAILS
Some few interesting things about me. I am deeply passionate about statistics and other data related fields. Over the years, I have developed the ability to deliver valuable insights via data analytics and advanced data driven methods. My academic trainings and my work experiences have continuously helped me improve my competence at researching and analyzing raw data in order to furnish reliable information for decision making.
Areas of Interest
Take a look at some of the things I love working on
Statistical Analysis
I collect data and uncover patterns and trends to help make reliable decisions. Statistics touches our lives in many ways. Look around you. Statistics are everywhere. Understanding that prediction and correlation are not the same as causation is a way of living that only statistics can help you master.
Machine Learning
This is more than an API call to scikit-learn or caret. Selecting the right algorithm for the job, refining the data it will work on, getting the ideal balance between the sophistication of the machine and its ability to consume the data and interpreting the results are the essentials components.
Parallel Computing
Cluster computing and parallel processing are among the best answers to the issue of processing large amount of data in an efficient way. I use Apache Spark framework to perform parallel processing when working with large scale data.
Data Visualization
Story telling is a very important part in statistics and data science. Being able to make beautiful and compelling graphics for presentations is a serious skill. I enjoy using tools like GGplot from R, seaborn from Python and Tableau to generate graphics that are both pretty and insightful
